A note from our founder

I started Atlas as an escape from a breakup
& an uninspiring 9-5.

cooking felt like slipping into another world.

started with Saturday nights proofing focaccia,

Sunday mornings: learning
how to ferment tomatoes.

& Sunday nights: sharing
around the dinner table with friends—

ringing the doorbell, staying for hours, and
making me laugh so hard my collarbone hurts.

suddenly, my dark apartment had so much light.

a year later, at 23,
I booked a one-way ticket to Bali.

I spent two years solo traveling,

cooking for the people who inspired me in each new place, trying to
make big places feel a little smaller.

learning that it wasn't just about what's
served, but
about what's shared:
stories, moments, humanity.

no phones, no digital noise.

JUST, DINNER.

the friends I met, through cooking, redirected my life for the better.

the ones who challenged me, whilst encouraging me to think bigger,
to keep going.

53 dinner parties, seven countries,
thousands of guests—
who've shared ideas &
experiences around our dinner table.

thank you for believing in me & for believing in the passions of others.

with endless gratitude,

JACKIE

PS: I called it Atlas after writing a menu on the back of a map of Ghent. more on that another time.

since expanding, it's been a joy to build a team
of talented, incredible women—
who bring each Atlas experience to life.
